Pampanga Steel broke ground in a modest 500 sq.m retail shop for steel products along McArthur Highway in San Fernando, Pampanga in 2002. With only a handful of employees and a few trucks to kick start the business, PSM endeavored to establish a strong reputation for reliable partnership with constructor-customers. Against long established competitors, the company slowly but surely gained the trust and confidence of the local customers. After 10 overachieving years, it was time to venture into new territories outside the province.

Setting its sights on new markets, particularly Bataan and Zambales, PSM saw the need to also expand its facilities to support and accommodate the projected growth. The company transferred to a newly acquired 3,000 sq.m property in Bgy. San Jose, San Fernando. The facility was equipped with an overhead crane. The number of employees was increased to more than 100 while the 6 truck delivery fleet grew to 22. With these additional assets, covering an extra territory such as Northern Luzon, in addition to those earlier eyed, became fairly feasible.

The hard work continued to pay handsome dividends for the company. Backed with a growing reputation for reliability, it successfully gained some foothold in markets beyond its traditional territories, delivering its products event to some
areas in Visayas and Mindanao. The latest expansion and relocation to its new flagship location was the result of the unexpectedly outstanding pace at which PSM has grown. The company’s expanded operation is now housed in a nearby 2
hectare facility (with ample land for future expansions) in Sitio Paroba, Mexico, Pampanga, and is now staffed by 300 devoted employees. Delivery capability more than doubled and an express delivery system was put in place to address and
support customers needing urgent timelines and expectations.

PSM now also offer specialty products such as sheet piles, H-beams and high grade deformed bars in addition to its regular products, to conveniently provide customers with a one stop shop for all their steel requirements. More ambitious plans are in the pipeline, all geared towards fortifying PSM’s reputation for reliabilty and enhancing a mutually beneficial partnership with the Construction Industry, now and in the years to come.
